Caring for your investment

CLEANSE

  • ALWAYS use a sulfate-free shampoo

  • Always brush your hair before entering into water- even the shower.

  • Wash in a downward motion and avoid scrunching and bunching your extensions.

  • Make sure you are cleansing the weft and your natural hair, lifting each weft, and cleaning between them.

  • Cleanse your hair at least 3-4 times a week to prevent buildup. If hair does not lather, add more water, and cleanse the hair twice for the best results.

CONDITION

  • Always use a sulfate-free conditioner. Never use Olaplex or a bond-building conditioner unless advised by your hairstylist! Use a mask at least once a week on your hair and your extension hair to keep it healthy. This is a must to make sure you get the longevity from the extensions.

STYLING

  • When styling your extensions ALWAYS use approved products from your stylist. Professional, sulfate free hair care a must. ALWAYS use a heat protectant when using heat- even blow drying your hair. (a leave in conditioner is also a heat protectant.) Lightly mist your ends when flat iron or curling with heat protectant spray. Creams can be heavy on the extensions and can lye on top of the hair, but either will work. We will go over hair products and can discuss what works best for your hair.

MAINTENANCE

  • Move-ups are required every 6-9 weeks and are discussed at your appointment. I strongly suggest scheduling your move-up appointment on the day of your install. Communication is key when having ANY issues with your extensions.

  • Itching, tension, matting, mega hair shedding (long strands that appear to be coming out of the weft), if you can not style your hair extensions (wear them up, or do not know how to curl them) These are the things I would like to know about after a new install or move up.
